Behrad Azargan, a Bahá'í artist, has been sentenced to seven years in prison. According to a ruling issued by Branch 36 of the Tehran Court of Appeals, Behrad Azargan has been sentenced to five years in prison for the charge of engaging in educational or promotional activities deemed "deviant" and contrary to Islamic principles within the framework of a sect, group, or similar organization. Additionally, he has been sentenced to two years in prison for the charge of "spreading falsehoods."
