The government is seeking a 2.5 times increase in gas prices

Mohsen Mazloum Farsi-Baf, ‌Director of Research & Technology of the National Iranian Gas Company, said:

Increasing the price of natural gas by 2.5 times will make people to reduce their consumption up to ten percent! Iranian gas consumption is 7 to 8 times more than standard consumption.
