Iran: Police Arrest People For 'Selling Babies'

Tehran's police chief, Brig-Gen Hossein Rahimi, said babies are being sold for between $300 and $1,000. He added that a group of people were arrested on charges of "kidnapping and forming an organized network of human trafficking."

The illegal sale of sold (kidnapped) baby parts has become a common source of income for the poor in Iran.
