A Revolutionary Court in Iran has sentenced British couple Lindsay Foreman and Craig Foreman to 10 years in prison each on charges of “espionage,” their family says.
According to a statement released by their child, the 52-year-old couple had been traveling through Iran as part of a round-the-world motorcycle trip when they were arrested. They were reportedly tried in a three-hour hearing without meaningful access to a proper defense.
The Government of the United Kingdom has strongly condemned the sentences and called for their immediate release.
