ALI AZAD FACES THE THREAT OF AN EXECUTION SENTENCE

Ali Azad, a citizen from Gilan Province, was arrested during Iran’s nationwide uprising in January in the city of Rudsar and is currently being held in Lakan Prison in Rasht.

According to reports, he has been accused of “killing a Basij militia member” and is at risk of receiving a death sentence.

So far, no information has been released regarding the details of his case, the legal process, or whether he has had access to his basic legal rights.
