According to received reports, the city of Nurabad Mamasani became one of the main flashpoints during Iran’s nationwide uprising in January 2026. During that period, dozens of residents were killed by gunfire from state forces, and many others were arrested.

Reports indicate that, as part of the ongoing crackdown, a charge of “enmity against God” (moharebeh) has been brought against Artin Salari, a 20-year-old from the city. However, no clear information has been made public about the details of his case or the legal process.

At the same time, concerns are growing over the condition of Keyvan Ahmadi, an artist from Nurabad Mamasani. He was arrested in Shiraz about a month ago, and there has been no information since regarding his whereabouts or condition. Local and human rights sources warn that some detainees, including him, may be at risk of torture and forced confessions.
