Elham Modaresi is currently hospitalized in intensive care in a Turkish hospital due to severe physical deterioration. Her liver condition has worsened due to the lack of medical care during her detention, and she urgently requires a liver transplant
She was detained during Iran's National Uprising by security forces in, Karaj, last year. She was released on bail from Kachooi prison, after facing pressure and threats from government agents, she left Iran for Turkey.
