ESMAIL SHOKRI, THE FATHER OF SEPEHR SHOKRI, WAS ARRESTED AT HIS SON'S GRAVE

Based on received information, Esmaeil Shokri, the father of Sepehr Shokri, was arrested on Saturday, March 21st, 2026, while visiting his son’s grave at Behesht-e Zahra cemetery in Tehran.
Reports indicate that the arrest was carried out by plainclothes agents, who threatened this grieving father with a firearm.
Human rights sources have also reported that on March 19th, 2026, agents went to Sepehr Shokri’s grave, where they assaulted those present, including his mother, and issued threats.
Previously, a video of Esmail Shokri had circulated showing him among the bodies of victims in Kahrizak, searching for his son, a video that became a symbol of the suffering of families of those killed during Iran’s national uprising.
