Newly released
Videos that have reached the outside world with great difficulty due to the nationwide internet blackout in Iran show that public participation in response to Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi’s call was far larger than initially estimated.
According to these images, significant numbers of people took to the streets even in smaller cities, including Babolsar in Mazandaran Province, where a considerable crowd gathered on the evening of Thursday, January 8th.
