Protester Mahdi Salahshoor, a sculptor and monarchy supporter from Mashhad, was shot and killed by Islamic Republic forces on Thursday, January 8, during the nationwide uprising in Mashhad.
He was a father of two and had previously shared a sculpture of a lion on his Instagram, writing: “My Iran, my love, I love you, wake up.”
