Reza Rasai's request for a retrial of those sentenced to death was rejected.

Reza Rasai’s request for a re-trial of those sentenced to execution in connection with Iran's National Uprising has been rejected by the first branch of the Supreme Court of the Islamic Republic.

Reza Rasai, a 34-year-old follower of the Yarsanism faith from Sanandaj He was arrested in Karaj during the Iran National Uprising by the security forces of the Islamic Republic on November 24th,2023 After the interrogation process was completed, he was transferred from the detention center of the IRGC Intelligence Organization to Dezful abad Prison. After some time, he was sentenced to execution by the second branch of the Criminal Court One in Kermanshah province on charges of the ‘murder of Nader Birami, head of the Intelligence Organization of the IRGC in Sanandaj.'

His death sentence was recently confirmed by the seventeenth branch of the Supreme Court of the Islamic Republic. Reza Rasai’s case was sent to the enforcement unit of the Kermanshah Criminal Court on December 31st, of this year."
