Asghar Sepehri, brother of Fatemeh Sepehri and Mohammad Hossein Sepehri, pro-monarchy political prisoners, has officially declared his family’s support for the nationwide truckers’ strike in Iran.

Mr. Sepehri wrote on his X (formerly Twitter) account:
“The Sepehri family proudly expresses its full support for the nationwide and courageous strike of the truck drivers.
This strike is not merely the outcry of one profession; it echoes the suffering of a people crushed for decades under oppression, corruption, inflation, discrimination, and repression. Today, the truck drivers have taken the lead; now it’s the turn of teachers, nurses, workers, retirees, and all the people of this land.
We believe the time has come for strikes to transcend their professional boundaries and transform into a nationwide, popular movement — a movement to end the Islamic Republic, a regime that has brought nothing but destruction, prisons, torture, and poverty to the people of Iran.
We call on everyone — from every profession, class, ethnicity, and belief — to join this struggle. Together, united, nonviolent but resolute, we can dismantle this oppressive system and pave the way for a free and worthy future for the Iranian nation.
We will not abandon the children of Iran. We stand behind the truck drivers, alongside the workers and teachers, in solidarity with women and youth.”
