The execution of Pedram Madani, a 41-year-old prisoner and father of one child, was carried out at Ghezel Hesar Prison in Karaj.

Previously held at Evin Prison, he had recently been transferred to solitary confinement at Ghezel Hesar.
According to the Islamic Republic’s judiciary, Mr Madani was arrested on charges of spying for Israel and was later sentenced to death for “enmity against God” (moharebeh) and “corruption on earth.” Authorities stated that after legal procedures and the Supreme Court’s approval, the sentence was carried out.
In contrast, just one day before the execution, Mr. Madani’s mother released a video protesting the injustice in her son’s case, declaring that he had been condemned to death without access to a fair trial.
This execution comes amid repeated warnings from human rights organizations about the lack of transparency in Iran’s judicial processes and the use of security-related charges to suppress political and ideological dissent.
