Abbas Vahedian Shahroodi has been transferred to the prison infirmary due to a heart condition.

Ali Sharifzadeh Ardakani, a lawyer, reported that the officials at Vakilabad Prison have not agreed to transfer and treat the political prisoner, at a specialized medical center.

Mr. Sharifzadeh Ardakani also mentioned that the officials of the Islamic Republic continue to delay the execution of this political prisoner's sentence, despite his need for hospitalization due to his heart condition, in the infirmary of Vakilabad Prison.

Recently, the forensic medicine authority rejected the request for non-enforcement of his sentence, despite confirming his heart disease, asthma, respiratory issues, and severe skin condition, deeming the prison conditions suitable for him.

Now, this signatory of the 14-person statement is hospitalized in the prison clinic due to the worsening of his heart condition and requires specialized treatment.
