Abbas Vahedian Shahroudi, writer, civil activist, and a signatory of Statement 14, currently imprisoned in Vakilabad Prison in Mashhad, continues to be denied specialized medical treatment despite a serious decline in his health and the discovery of a suspicious mass in his chest.

According to available information, the political prisoner was previously transferred to Ghaem Hospital in Mashhad due to breathing problems and worsening physical condition. Test results revealed a mass in his chest, which doctors warned could be dangerous and require urgent follow-up.
Despite medical advice stressing the need for continued treatment, no effective action has been taken. Nearly two weeks later, the final test results have still not been shared with Mr. Vahedian Shahroudi or his family, deepening concerns over his health.
