EHSAN GHADIRI, A MONARCHIST ACTIVIST, ARRESTED WITH VIOLENCE

Based on received information, Ehsan Ghadiri, a pro-monarchy activist, former political prisoner, and a resident of Tehran, was arrested in recent days at a checkpoint in the city by government forces and transferred to Greater Tehran Prison.
Reports indicate that he was arrested on Thursday, April 2nd, 2026, at a checkpoint on Fadaiyan Eslam Street, and that the arrest was accompanied by beatings and violence by the agents. During the arrest, government forces also searched him and confiscated his personal belongings, including his mobile phone and identification documents.
According to these reports, Ehsan Ghadiri was transferred after his arrest to Ward 6 of Greater Tehran Prison and, after four days, remains deprived of the right to phone calls and family visits. The lack of response from judicial authorities regarding the reason for his arrest has increased his family’s concern, and as of now, no further information has been released.
