According to reports, Danial Karimi, the father of the late Amirmohammad Karimi, took his own life on September 6, 2026.
Amirmohammad Karimi, a 19-year-old athlete and former member of Iran’s national junior taekwondo team, was killed by gunfire on January 8, 2026, during the nationwide uprising in Marvdasht. His body was buried in the village of Joonjan in Marvdasht County.
