Shaho Safari, a firefighter in Sanandaj, set himself on fire at his workplace in protest over unpaid wages and months-long salary arrears.
The 34-year-old firefighter, who is the father of two children, has reportedly suffered at least 30% burns, and his overall condition is very critical.

This incident comes just one day after the death of Ahmad Baledi, a 20-year-old student in Ahvaz who also lost his life in an act of self-immolation in protest.
