Mehdi Meskin‑Navaz, a monarchist political prisoner held in Bandar Anzali prison, was allowed to attend the funeral of his young sister for a few hours, accompanied by prison guards, while wearing handcuffs and leg restraints.

After the ceremony, he was returned to prison.

Mr. Meskin‑Navaz is serving a ten‑year prison sentence in Bandar Anzali.
