Protest at Taleghani Hospital

After the self-immolation of 20-year-old Ahmad Baladi from Ahvaz, a group of citizens and relatives gathered in protest at Taleghani Hospital, demanding the dismissal of Mayor Amini and a judicial investigation into the causes of his death.

The incident took place when municipal enforcement officers, ignoring a court order to respect citizens’ rights, smashed windows, destroyed personal belongings, insulted the family’s mother, and used violence. Their actions created an atmosphere of fear and extreme psychological pressure that led to the young man’s tragic act.
