A number of bakers in Tehran staged a protest in front of the Ministry of Interior building to voice their growing frustrations over worsening living conditions, inequities in flour distribution, and the malfunctioning of the “Nanino” digital tracking system, which regulates flour allocation and bread sales.
The protesters argued that the Nanino system has created administrative bottlenecks, delayed payments, and increased pressure on bakery operations, particularly harming smaller, family-run bakeries.
