Protest by retired in East Azerbaijan

A group of retired telecommunications workers in East Azerbaijan gathered to protest poverty, harsh living conditions, and the authorities’ persistent neglect of their demands.

These retirees, many of whom dedicated decades to building and maintaining Iran’s telecom infrastructure, now face shrinking purchasing power as inflation eats away at their fixed pensions. At the protest, they held banners and chanted slogans, demanding overdue pension adjustments, proper implementation of retirement benefits, and fair treatment by the government.
