Retired telecommunications workers in Gilan took part in a gathering marking the anniversary of the privatization of Iran Telecommunication. With powerful chants like "Today is a day of mourning," "Iran Telecommunication is in the hands of bullies," and "Those who steal people’s rights," they voiced their anger and frustration over the looting of assets by the Execution of Imam’s Order Headquarters and the IRGC’s Cooperative Foundation.
Retired telecom workers in Isfahan gathered on Chaharbagh-e Bala, in front of the provincial telecom headquarters, marking the anniversary of the company’s semi-privatization. With loud chants, they denounced the plundering and exploitation of telecom assets by the Executive Headquarters and the IRGC Cooperative Foundation.
One of their main chants was:
“We built Telecom. The IRGC took it. We lost!”
They say these institutions have profited from years of their labor while denying retirees their rightful benefits. According to the protesters, this gathering is part of a broader nationwide movement of retirees standing up against injustice and systemic corruption.
Retirees of the Social Security Organization in Ahvaz held a protest march, voicing their anger over harsh living conditions, runaway inflation, and the erosion of their rights.
