Mizan News, affiliated with the Judiciary of the Islamic Republic, announced the execution of Shahram Sadeghi, one of those detained during the nationwide uprising in Karaj.
The Judiciary claimed Sadeghi was sentenced to death for “operational actions” on behalf of Israel and the United States and for acting “against national security and interests.”
Mizan also alleged that he was arrested on January 7, 2026, during the protests for “running over security forces with a vehicle.”The regime judiciary has released no details about the evidence supporting these charges, the trial process, or how the death sentence was issued and confirmed. It remains unclear what evidence the accusations against this protester were based on.
