Ali Adinehzadeh was arrested

Marzieh Adinehzadeh, the daughter of Ali Adinehzadeh, announced on her X account that her father and a number of other citizens were arrested during the seventh-day memorial ceremony for the late Khosro Alikordi, and expressed serious concern about his physical condition.

According to her, her father briefly contacted the family and said that around 40 people had been arrested at the ceremony, and that he, along with several others, was being transferred to Vakilabad Prison in Mashhad. In the same call, Ali Adinehzadeh confirmed that he was beaten at the time of his arrest.

Based on this account, Ali Adinehzadeh stated that the arresting body was the police force. This comes as his family has faced contradictory accounts from official bodies. According to Marzieh Adinehzadeh, her mother went to the prosecutor’s office twice but was not allowed to enter and received no clear answers. Eventually, only two female officers told her that the arrest had been carried out by the IRGC.

Meanwhile, informed sources have reported that Ali Adinehzadeh, the father of the late Abolfazl Adinehzadeh, was severely beaten with batons by security forces after his arrest. According to these sources, during the assault, the officers threatened him, stating: “This time we know what to do with the Adinehzadeh family.”
