The prosecutor of Hamedan has announced that criminal cases have been opened against 23 citizens in the city, and orders have been issued to identify and seize their assets.

Reports indicate that these individuals have been accused of “acting against national security,” and according to judicial officials, their cases are being handled in special branches.

This move is part of a broader policy by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic to identify, freeze accounts, and confiscate the assets of citizens whom the government labels as “collaborators with the enemy.” Earlier, Gholamhossein Mohseni Ejei, head of the judiciary, had warned that one of the possible punishments in such cases could be the death penalty.

It has also been reported that following this directive, a smart financial inquiry system called “Saham” has been launched, enabling prosecution offices and courts across the country to identify citizens’ assets online and proceed with their confiscation.
