FARHAD A VIZHEH, A PRO-MONARCHY ACTIVIST, HAS BEEN SENT TO PRISON

Farhad Avizheh, a pro-monarchy activist from Dehdasht, has been sent to prison to serve his sentence.

He was previously sentenced by Yasuj Revolutionary Court to two years and one month in prison on charges of “insulting the Supreme Leader” and “propaganda against the regime.” Mr. Avizheh, one of the detainees from the Iranian national uprising, was arrested after being summoned and appearing in court, then transferred to Yasuj prison. He was later temporarily released on a 500 million toman bail.
Mr. Avizheh had also been arrested by the Islamic Republic’s security forces during the national uprising and spent time in prison.
