HEYDAR CHAH-CHAMANDI WAS ARRESTED

During a memorial ceremony for the late Khosro Alikordi in Mashhad, Heydar Chah-Chamandi, a pro-monarchy activist, was beaten and arrested by security forces.

After clashing with regime security agents, Mr. Chah-Chamandi, his face covered in blood, began reciting verses from the Shahnameh (Epic of the Kings). He was then assaulted by security forces and taken into custody.

He remains detained in legal limbo at an IRGC Intelligence detention center.
