Laleh Sa’ati, a Christian convert imprisoned in the women’s ward of Tehran’s Evin Prison, remains deprived of adequate medical treatment despite her deteriorating physical condition.

She recently fell in the prison yard, injuring two fingers on her left hand—the ring and pinky fingers—but has not received proper care for the injury.

Her mother’s request for medical furlough was rejected by the Evin prison prosecutor’s office, citing opposition from the case’s intelligence officer, reportedly linked to the Ministry of Intelligence. A separate request to transfer her to a hospital was also denied.

Branch 26 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court, presided over by Judge Iman Afshari, sentenced Sa’ati to two years in prison and imposed a travel ban.
