After the match between Fajr Sepasi and Zob Ahan, at Pars Stadium in Shiraz, fans leaving the venue were heard chanting “Reza Shah, rest in peace.”
A group of Social Security retirees in Khuzestan held a protest rally to denounce poverty, harsh living conditions, and the authorities’ continued neglect of their demands.
A group of retired steelworkers in Isfahan held a protest rally to voice their anger over poverty, poor living conditions, and the government’s ongoing disregard for their demands.
A group of Khuzestan steel industry retirees held a protest demanding the proper implementation of the pension-equalization plan based on 90 percent of the salaries of active employees.
They also rejected any transfer to the national pension fund and stressed the need to resolve ambiguities affecting their livelihoods and benefits.
The streets of Kermanshah witnessed a large protest by Social Security retirees outside the local Social Security office.
Demonstrators voiced their anger over inflation, rising prices, and unfair government policies, chanting slogans such as:
“Masoud Farhikhteh must be freed.”
“Enough warmongering, our tables are empty.”
“Our enemy is right here; they lie it’s America,”
“With the trigger mechanism, our tables grow emptier.”
