Mohammad Najafi, a lawyer and political prisoner held in Evin Prison, is facing a new judicial case. His interrogation session for this case was held in absentia, at Branch 3 of the Investigative Court of District 33.

According to reports, the new charges against Mr. Najafi include “propaganda against the regime,” “spreading falsehoods,” and “insulting the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic.” A bail of 1.1 billion Iranian tomans has been set for him in this case.
Mr. Najafi has been able to meet with his family only after four months. He suffers from various health issues, including diabetes, high blood pressure, recurrent dizziness, and unexplained swelling in his legs. He also sustained hearing damage from the explosion caused by the Israeli attack on Evin Prison.
Despite his serious health condition, Mohammad Najafi continues to be denied specialized medical care, and due to the psychological pressure of imprisonment, he is forced to rely on sedatives and nerve medications.
