According to videos that have been published, the protest was held in response to the non-renewal of employment contracts. The protesting workers say that despite years of work experience at this industrial unit, their contracts were not renewed and they were left without job security.


A group of retirees gathered in front of the Social Security Organization building in Tehran to protest their living conditions and the authorities’ disregard for their demands.

According to reports, the protesting retirees chanted slogans expressing their dissatisfaction with officials’ performance. During the gathering, protesters chanted: “Neither the parliament nor the government cares about the people.”
