Protest by residents of Semnan

Residents of Garmsar and Aradan gathered outside the Semnan Governor’s Office demanding their water rights from the Hablehroud River. The protest coincided with the visit of the Islamic Republic’s Interior Minister to the province and reflected public anger and concern over officials’ neglect of farmers’ livelihoods and the region’s water crisis.
