Sadrollah Fazeli-Zare and Yousef Mehrad, two ideological prisoners, were executed in the early morning of Monday, May 8th, at the central prison of Arak.
Mehrad and Fazeli-Zare were apprehended in the first half of 2020 on account of their involvement in managing and being members of the Telegram channel 'Criticism of Superstition and Religion'. They were subsequently convicted and sentenced to death by the forces of the Islamic Republic on charges of 'insulting the Prophet' and 'insulting Islamic sanctities'.
