Two mothers have been sentenced to a combined three years in prison
Mahboubeh Ramazani, mother of Pezhman Gholipour, and Rahimeh Yousefzadeh, mother of Navid Behboudi, have been sentenced to a combined three years in prison on Monday, September 23, following multiple arrests for seeking justice for their children.
Their legal representative, Reza Shafakhah, announced that Branch 2 of the Shahriar Revolutionary Court sentenced the two mothers to six months in prison for "spreading statements against the government," and another six months for "membership in the Mothers of the November 2019 Victims group," and six months and one day for "insulting Khamenei."
Navid Behboudi, born in September 1996, was a mechanical engineering student who was killed by direct gunfire from government forces in November 2019, in the Ghal'e Hasan Khan area. Pezhman Gholipour, born in 2001, was shot and killed by five bullets from government forces at the age of 18 in Andisheh Town, Karaj, during the November 2019 protests.
