A wave of sudden layoffs, contract workers

Simultaneous with the official handover of Phase 14 of South Pars in Kangan County to the operating company SPGC, a wave of sudden layoffs swept through the project’s contract workers. Most of those dismissed are local employees, who, in addition to losing their jobs, have not received four months of outstanding wages.

This move has sparked widespread anger among staff, leading to strikes in the services, security, and facilities sectors. The protesting workers state that with the arrival of the new operating company, they were abruptly dismissed without any job guarantees.
