Based on the received information, more than one month after the arrest of Benyamin Naqdi, a 26-year-old monarchist athlete from Shiraz, there is still no precise information about his place of detention, physical condition, or the judicial process of his case, and his family remains in complete uncertainty.

Benyamin Naqdi was arrested on the evening of January 3rd, during the national uprising in Shiraz. Following his arrest, Fars News Agency, affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, published a video titled “confessions” of the detained citizen and claimed he was the same individual whose confrontation with government forces had widely circulated on social media. The video has been assessed by human rights organizations and civil activists as a forced confession.

Hussein Naqdi, Benyamin's brother, had previously stated in a phone interview with media outlets that the family has no information about his place of detention and is deeply concerned about his physical condition and safety. According to him, Benyamin's only wish was “to live freely and secure a livelihood.” Referring to economic pressures and difficult living conditions, he called for Benyamin's release and return to his family and warned about any potential harm to him.

A review of images and content published on Benyamin Naqdi’s social media accounts shows that he has been a champion in open competitions in kickboxing and Muay Thai and holds international certifications in bodyguarding, coaching, refereeing, and sports nutrition.

Despite weeks having passed since the athlete’s arrest, no official authority has provided explanations regarding the charges against him, his place of detention, access to a lawyer, or his health status, a situation that has intensified concerns about Benyamin Naqdi’s fate.
