OMID BEHZAD AND POURIA SAFEVAT HAD BEEN EXECUTED

Mizan News, affiliated with the Islamic Republic's Judiciary, announced on August 3, 2026, the execution of Omid Behzad and Pourya Safvat on charges of “cooperating with Israel.”
The Judiciary claimed the two citizens provided coordinates, images, and information about military and security sites to Mossad agents during the recent war. Pourya Safvat was also accused of sending coordinates of certain sites to Iran International.
These executions come after regime officials, including the foreign minister, had previously acknowledged the existence of security breaches within its structure. Meanwhile, human rights organizations report that the number of executions in Iran since December 2025 has surpassed 430.
