News, affiliated with the Judiciary, announced on Sunday, July 19, 2026, the execution of Erfan Esfandiari and Gol-Mohammad Mohammadi, two protesters arrested during the nationwide uprising.

The Judiciary had accused them of involvement in the killing of four Basij and special forces members during the protests on the evening of January 7, 2026, in Ali Khani Square, Isfahan. These accusations are based on the regime’s official narrative.

The executions took place just one day after several prisoners in the same case were transferred to solitary confinement. In the so-called “Ali Khani Square case,” 59 protesters were arrested and 12 were sentenced to death.
