Khaled Pirzadeh, a political prisoner, suffered burns on his hands, face and chest.

Khaled Pirzadeh, a monarchist political prisoner held in Evin Prison, sustained second-degree burns on his hands, face, and chest after protesting by pouring boiling water on himself on July 7th.

This political prisoner has been denied phone privileges for over three months.

This sanction was imposed because he crafted a wooden plaque for petitioners, inscribed with the poem, "If Iran does not exist, my body will not exist."

He is currently hospitalized at Motahari Hospital and underwent surgery on July 9th.
